PELHAM – Administrators at Pelham High School are currently in the process of preparing for a new school year and with that comes the scheduling of registration dates for returning and incoming students at PHS.
“As we head into the new school year, I am excited to resume student life on The Hill,” said PHS Principal Kim Kiel. “I’m incredibly proud of how the 2023-2024 school year ended, marking our closest return to normal since 2019. I’m eager to see how we build on that positive momentum.
To allow for a smooth process, and to reduce wait times and the strain on school staff, registration dates will be separated out by the grade level. The dates and times for high school student registration are as follows:
- 12th grade – Tuesday, July 23 from 9-11 a.m.
- 11th grade – Tuesday, July 23 from 1-3 p.m.
- 10th grade – Thursday, July 25 from 9-11 a.m.
- 9th grade – Tuesday, July 30 from 1-3 p.m.
“We’re looking forward to another terrific year on The Hill,” Kiel said. “We will also focus on welcoming our new additions to PHS, whether they are new teachers or new students. We will ensure everyone understands how special it is to be a Pelham Panther and what it means to do things ‘The Pelham Way.’”
Should a parent or guardian miss these designated times, a make-up day for all grades will be held at the school on Tuesday, July 30 from 5-7 p.m.
In addition to the registration days, Pelham High School will also host Camp Pelham prior to the beginning of the new school year.
The camp will take place on Friday, Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. to noon and will serve as an orientation class for freshman and other incoming students who may be transferring to the school to continue their educational journey. During that camp, new students will be able to meet some of their teachers and the school’s leadership.
“Our administration and staff are committed to continuing our focus on academic rigor as well as the goal of increased student involvement at PHS,” Kiel said. “Through our Green & Gold Program, we gather essential stats each year to identify areas where our students need encouragement to become more involved and immersed in the Pelham culture. We believe that involvement is crucial in producing well-rounded, marketable graduates.”
