PELHAM – Wakeboarding enthusiasts and fans of water sports are encouraged to mark their calendars for later this month as Flip Side Watersports at Oak Mountain State Park prepares for another edition of the Mountain Wake Games.

The annual event, set for June 22-23, promises to provide two full days filled with vendors, live music and door prizes all framed around impressive feats of wakeboarding skill. For food options, Wasabi Juan’s Sushi Burritos and Summer Snow have been announced as the featured food trucks for the event.

Above all, the Mountain Wake Games offers participating athletes with opportunities to display their abilities across two distinct wakeboarding disciplines—cable and boat.

Sanctioned by the World Wakeboard Association (WWA), the event will also include cash payouts across all divisions, adding an extra layer of competitiveness to the festivities.

On Saturday, June 22, the cable contest will kick off the event, with registration opening early in the day at 8 a.m. Contestants will then have an hour to complete their registrations for the event before registration closes at 9 a.m. Cable contests will then commence in full force at 10 a.m.

Following all cable contests, and to allow the next days’ contestants to get acclimated, boat practice sessions will then become available starting at 3 p.m. and will run until dark. Those practice sessions will cost $20 per set.

On Sunday, June 23, the focus will then shift to the boat wakeboarding competitions for the second day of the event. Registrations for the second day will mirror the previous day’s schedule, opening at 8 a.m. and closing promptly at 9 a.m., ahead of the 10 a.m. start.

Entry fees for the events vary depending on the contestant’s division count and event type they will be participating in.

For Saturday’s cable contests, fees start at $50 for the first division, with additional divisions priced at $30.

Sunday’s boat contests carry fees of $65 for each boarder’s first division, with the same $30 charge for additional divisions.

Participating in the pro-level contest for each day’s events will cost $70 and participating in the RedBull Big Air Contest for either day will cost $20.

Organizers are also seeking to remind those interested that all contestants are required to be registered with the WWA in order to partake in the sanctioned competition. Contest entry fees do not include WWA fees and Oak Mountain State Park entry fees.

Cable and boat divisions and payouts have been made available by event sponsor Skier’s Marine.
