COLUMBIANA – Rodeo enthusiasts from all over the state will have the chance to see some good old fashioned bull riding at Shelby County Extreme Bulls’ 15th annual rodeo.
The rodeo will run three days; Thursday, Jan. 18 Friday, Jan 19 and Saturday, Jan. 20.
Doors open each night at 6 p.m. and the event itself begins at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early.
A total of 35 of the country’s top bull riders will be competing at this year’s event. Each rider will be ushered into the arena with a display of pyrotechnics before they are matched with the “best” bucking bulls from in the country before riding them in eight action packed seconds, and each rider will then be scored by judges.
The top eight riders will then compete in a second round, and a champion will be crowned. The champion will be awarded a golden belt buckle and a cash prize.
Along with the bull riding, guests will also be entertained by Professional Rodeo Funny Man, Josh “Porkchop” Garrick who will entertain crowds with funny jokes, tricks, acts and sing-a-longs.
Shelby County Extreme Bulls’ 15th annual rodeo will take place at Shelby County Exhibition Center located at 86 Argo Road in Columbiana.
