ALABASTER – Registration is now open for spring baseball, softball and T-ball in the city of Alabaster.

Online registration is open for baseball and softball until Jan. Saturday, 13 at 11 p.m. and in-person registration is open until Friday, Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.

“The city of Alabaster is very excited for the upcoming 2024 baseball/softball season,” Alabaster Community Programs Manager Morgan Lawley said.

This year’s edition of spring sports will allow players to take full advantage of the new renovations to Alabaster’s Veterans Park.

“The newly renovated Veterans Park and Peanut Davenport field will be a huge asset to everyone involved in our programs,” Lawley said. “The addition of turf to these parks will allow more playing time and less rain out time. Alabaster Parks and Rec is ready for another fun filled season full of memories and friendships that last a lifetime.”

According to the city’s website, it’s mission for Alabaster Youth Baseball and Softball is to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball to every child who wants to participate in park ball alongside the hope that every child has a positive experience and develops skills and knowledge in the sport they participate in.

Boy’s baseball registration for the spring season is $110.00 for T-ball and $225 for rookie through major league. Girls’ softball registration is $225.

Those who register multiple children will get a 10 percent discount after the oldest child is paid in full. There is a non-resident fee of an additional 10 per a child.

The city accepts cash, debit, Visa, Master Card and Discover but no checks are accepted. Those who bring cash payments are asked to bring the exact amount owed as change will not be provided. Registration forms will not be accepted or processed without payment.
