INVERNESS – Bessemer resident Darrell Dewayne Madden, 42, was arrested and charged with three counts of third degree burglary on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 2:03 p.m.
Court documents indicate that Madden stole from two different Lowe’s Home Improvement locations.
The first of these alleged thefts happened on the night of Thursday, July 13 at 7:33 p.m. when Madden allegedly stole items valued at $818.
This was later followed by two alleged additional thefts at the Lowe’s on Valleydale Road a month later on Wednesday, Aug. 16 where Madden allegedly first stole four items valued at $647 at 11:22 a.m., then six items of merchandise valued at $779.72 at 5:30 p.m.
Madden was previously arrested in Jefferson County for third degree burglary back in August, but his charges were dismissed by the presiding judge.
Currently, Madden is being held in Shelby County Jail in Columbiana on a bond of $25,000. A date for his trial has not yet been set.
