David Lovejoy Marchant, age 89, of Calera, Alabama passed away in his home on Monday, December 11, 2023. He was born April 18, 1934 in Bibb County to Clifford C. and V. Havalene (Kornegay) Marchant.

 David was very well known for his love of bees. He enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. He loved his family so much and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances Marie (Price) Marchant; brother, Howard Leslie Marchant; son, Kenneth George, Sr.

 David is survived by his brothers, Russell Lambuth (Caroline) Marchant, Floyd Lester (Lou) Marchant, Jacob Timothy (Linda) Marchant; sister, Dovie Annette (Monroe) Duke; grandchildren, Stephanie (Adam) Nelson, Kenneth (Angela) George, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; great-grandchildren, Diamond and Dixie Holcombe, Mallory Nelson, and Kloey East; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 A graveside service for David will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Ada Chapel Bible Methodist Church Cemetery, 12471 N Scottsville Rd, West Blocton, AL 35184.
