The National Indoor Soccer League (NISL) released the schedule for the 2024 season on Thursday, Nov. 16, including the 12 matches for Magic City SC’s men’s and women’s teams in their inaugural season in the league.
Magic City SC will play their first ever home matches on Friday, Feb. 2 when they take on the Central Florida Crusaders at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.
The showdown with the Crusaders will come after back-to-back trips to Foundry FC in Columbus, GA on Sunday, Jan. 21 and Sunday, Jan. 28 to kick off their inaugural season.
Each of Magic City SC’s 12 matches will be held as a men’s and women’s doubleheader.
Other home matches include a Sunday, Feb. 18 clash with the Fayetteville Fury over President’s Day weekend, a visit from Foundry FC on Saturday, Mar. 2 and a match against fellow expansion side the Albany Aces the next day on Sunday, Mar. 3.
Magic City SC will then wrap up their home schedule with games against Foundry FC on Saturday, Apr. 6 and the Tampa Bay Strikers on Friday, Apr. 12.
In a change from previous plans, instead of a 16-match season with eight home matches and eight away matches, both of Magic City SC’s teams will play 12 matches, with six at home and six away.
Part of the reason for the change is because the Memphis Americans recently announced that they will take a hiatus from the NISL in the 2024 season.
Season ticket prices remain unchanged despite the decrease in matches and are still on sale starting at $120 on Magiccitysc.com. The league has not indicated when individual match tickets will go on sale.
In addition to the regular season matches, the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena will host the league’s playoffs in May.
Read below for the full schedule. Kickoff times listed are for the men’s matches, as the times for the women’s matches have not yet been announced but will take place on the same day as the men’s matches.
