Jimmy Wayne Freeman, age 71, of Clanton, passed away Wednesday, July 29.

The visitation will be from 12-1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 1 at Clanton Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Billy Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Freeman is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Edd and Dorothy Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Freeman; son, Jeff Freeman; daughter, Becky Ryder; extended family, Nicole Freeman and Jeremy Ryder; grandchildren, Heather Spivey (Drew), Ashley Freeman (Harrison McMinn), Gage Ryder, Trent Freeman (Haley Horton), Jacob Ryder, and Madi Ryder; great grandchildren, Tucker and Annie Spivey; sisters, Nancy Clayton (William), Margaret Fregoso, and Dorothy Williams (Robert); brother, Johnny Freeman (Tammy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
