Columbiana Sports Complex to host UAB baseball camp

COLUMBIANA – The University of Alabama at Birmingham baseball team will be coming to Columbiana Wednesday, July 29, to participate in the Perry Roth Baseball Camp at the Columbiana Sports Complex.

The camp will be open to those between the ages of 5 and 12 will have the opportunity to take part in a special camp featuring Blazers’ head coach Perry Roth and UAB players as well as other college coaches.

During the camp, which will last from 6-9 p.m., those in attendance will get to take part in different pitching, defensive and hitting sessions. The defensive session will feature both infield and outfield work, as well as pitching.

If you’d like to participate in the camp, you can register online at Camps.jumpforward.com/UABbaseballcamps/Register/Index/14892. Online registration is open until Tuesday, July 28, and is available to anyone between the ages of 5 and 12.

The camp is asking that you make sure to bring all necessary baseball equipment and that your name is on everything.

The camp will also be following COVID-19 guidelines, which means campers will need their own water and drinks. Temperature checks will be done upon arrival and social distancing will be practiced.

They are also asking to bring both cleats and tennis shoes for the camp.
