“It has been an honor serving and representing the residents of Ward 7 for the last four years,” Pate said. “I feel we are at a crossroads, and there are still many current issues and projects that I would like to see come to fruition. With that being said, I am announcing that I am seeking re-election and would be honored to have your support.”

Pate said she plans to focus on:

  • Continue to work on issues with overgrown and abandoned lots in ward 7.
  • Continue to be an advocate for residents on issues such as speeding and safety concerns within the community. “I will continue to partner with city department heads and exhaust all avenues to lead to resolve,” Pate said.
  • Continue to ensure healthy residential growth with participation on the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. “I will continue to listen to the desires of the community on traffic concerns but also work with developers so they may develop their land that appropriately supports the city’s infrastructure while also meeting city requirements,” she said.
  • Continue to work with the senior population to ensure their needs are met and concerns are being addressed.

“By continuing to make Alabaster a great place to live, play and work, I believe we need to continue to work on making our city employees’ compensation and benefits competitive,” said Pate. “If you know me, you know that veterans and the military are near and dear to my heart. I will continue advocate for the more than 3,000 veterans in our city. We are fortunate to have some strong and growing veterans organizations in Alabaster, and we have the opportunity to partner with them to ensure our veterans have the resources and support they need.”

Pate said she will continue to be a strong advocate for the youth in the community and continue to be a strong support of Alabaster’s award-winning school system.

“I will continue to be a strong advocate for the youth in our community and continue to be a strong supporter of our award-winning school system,” Pate said.

Pate works for The American Village in Montevallo. She is married to Doug and is the mother of three children: daughter Savannah and her husband Kevin live in Mobile; Sawyer, a freshman at Auburn; and Ella, a junior at Thompson High School.
