MONTEVALLO — The American Red Cross will host a community blood drive Monday, June 29 in the Montevallo First Baptist Church fellowship hall from 1-6 p.m.

At least 50 donors are needed to sign up in order to reach capacity for the day; the American Red Cross has set the goal at 24 pints.

The drive is open to the public, meaning anyone looking for a place to donate can see the blood drive as a possible donation site when they enter in their zip code or call the Red Cross.

At the time of this release, several online appointment slots were still available. Volunteers were also needed to help with the drive; anyone interested in volunteering may contact Angela Jackson at Angela.Jackson4@redcross.org for more details.
