The Juicy Seafood opens in Pelham, offering discounts

PELHAM – Lovers of seafood and Cajun cooking in Pelham can rejoice as The Juicy Seafood is now open for business.

The restaurant held a soft opening on Monday, June 15, where customers got a chance to taste a wide variety of Cajun-style seafood and sides with special offers.

According to owner Tony Guo, the soft opening was a great way for the community to have a taste of the different kinds of seafood they are offering.

Guo explained that the restaurant was originally scheduled to have the soft opening on June 11, however, a shipment of seafood was delayed, and they wanted their food to be as fresh as possible for their customers, so they pushed back into the next week, while finishing touches were also put in place.

Customers were treated to a variety of fried food and Cajun seafood, with different seasonings ranging from not spicy to extra hot.

Some offerings from their menu include baskets with fried foods such as shrimp, tilapia, catfish, oysters and chicken.

They will also be offering a variety of other seafood including blue crab, snow crab legs, king crab legs, shrimp, lobster, mussels and clams.  The seafood plates can be ordered as one pound plates, or made into a combination with half pounds of each item.

Guo explained that as of now the restaurant is going to be open for take-out only, but hopes to fully open the restaurant for dine-in customers around the beginning of July. They also plan to have a grand opening at a later undetermined date.

Until the restaurant fully opens for dine-in all orders will come with a 20 percent discount on all take-out orders.

The Juicy Seafood is now open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until midnight.
