280-area farmers’ markets open

The summer season has arrived with a plethora of fresh produce and goods from local growers.
Farmers’ markets have begun to open throughout Shelby County, and several are located along the U.S. 280 corridor.
The Valleydale Farmers’ Market is open each Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon at 4601 Valleydale Road.
The market’s vendors sell chicken, eggs, peaches, tomatoes, strawberries, squash, cabbage, potatoes, greens, plums, granola, honey, breads and jellies, along with non-edible goods, such as jewelry.

The MarketPlace at Lee Branch is offering drive-thru services each Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon in the Lee Branch Shopping Center parking lot.
Orders can be placed online during the weekly ordering period, noon on Monday until noon on Thursday, and picked up between 7:30 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
The market also will have a section open for walk-up service for customers who want the farmers’ market experience with social distancing guidelines.

The Mt Laurel Farmers’ Market and Craft Fair is open each Saturday through October from 8 a.m.-noon at the Mt Laurel Town Center.
