James “Larry” Bobo, age 69, of Montevallo, passed away Friday, June 5.

The visitation will be Wednesday, June 10 from 1-2 p.m. at Bethel Holiness of God Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Bob Trimble and Bro. Jerry Cleckler officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Bobo was born and raised in the Hamilton area. He graduated from Hamilton High School and attended Northwest Alabama Junior College. He worked as a carpenter and building supply manager. His last profession was as an insurance adjuster for approximately 20 years. He was a member of the Cane Creek Baptist Church in Clanton.

Mr. Bobo is preceded in death by his grandson, Cayden James Bobo; parents, J.B. and Jetta Pearl Hall Bobo; and grandparents, Ira Lee and Effie Mays Bobo, and Rufus and Maggie Wiginton Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelda Morrow Bobo of Montevallo; son, James O’Neal Bobo (Niki) of Alabaster; and grandchildren, Madisyn Marie Bobo, Kathryn Jane Bobo, James Brooks Bobo, Chase Morris, and Kayleigh Morris.
