CHELSEA – Plans are in place for the city’s annual Chelsea Fest and The Big Kaboom on Saturday, June 27.
The band Trotline will return as the event’s headliner, and Nacho Daddy will once again serve as the opening act.
“We are excited that we will be hosting our Independence Day celebration that we lovingly call the Big Kaboom on Saturday, June 27,” Mayor Tony Picklesimer said. “We always have it the Saturday before the Fourth of July so our families can have their vacation time on the Fourth of July. This year, it happens to be exactly a week ahead.”
The event will be held in the large field behind Dairy Queen.
Attendees are asked to follow social distancing guidelines in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to live music, food vendors will be set up throughout the event, and fireworks will light up the sky at about 9 p.m.
Food vendors who would like to reserve space at the event may submit a registration form at Cityofchelsea.com by June 19.
