ALABASTER – Two new retailers, HomeGoods and Five Below, will soon call Alabaster home.

The two businesses will divide the roughly 30,000-square-foot space that was formerly occupied by Best Buy in Alabaster Promenade, according to Alabaster City Administrator Brian Binzer.

The façade of the space is currently undergoing renovation.

Five Below is expected to open near the end of the year, in time for the holiday shopping season, while HomeGoods is expected to open in early 2021.

“There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to get the larger spaces ready,” Binzer said.

HomeGoods will require more interior build-out than Five Below, which is why it is expected to take more time.
