ALABASTER – Alabaster First United Methodist Church is hosting its 11th annual Threads Consignment Sale March 12-14 at its Restore facility located at 128 Market Center Drive.
A pre-sale will take place on Thursday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. For an entry fee of $5, guests will have an opportunity to be the first to shop the sale and get first pick of the items available. The public is invited to shop at no charge on Friday, March 13, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to noon. On Saturday, indicated items will be priced half off.
All major credit/debit cards and cash are accepted forms of payment. Those who shop the sale can expect to find very gently used and high-quality clothes and shoes that range in size from newborn, toddler and kids, as well as junior sizes 0-16. There will also be an array of nursey furniture and items, books, baby equipment, toys and more.
Proceeds from the consignment sale will benefit the church’s Children’s Ministry, said Rachel Olis, consignment sale planning committee member. Olis said roughly 1,500-2,000 people shop the sale every year and it usually raises more than $10,000 for the Children’s Ministry.
The proceeds are used to host Vacation Bible School annually for more than 500 children, to make upgrades to the playground and the church’s daycare program and more.
