CALERA – Registration for spring sports through Calera Parks and Recreation is now open and ends on Feb. 1.

To register online, go to Caleraparkandrec.com and click “Register Online.” Parents may also sign up in person at the Calera Parks and Rec office at 623 Calera Eagle Drive on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The city is registering children for baseball, softball and soccer. The cost of baseball, for ages 4-14, and softball, for ages 5-12, is $170, and T-ball for 4-year-olds is $100. Each player will receive a baseball cap or a hair bow, two jerseys, one pair of pants and a pair of socks.

Soccer costs $90 for kids ages 4-7 and $120 for all other age groups. Each player will get two jerseys, one pair of shorts and a pair of socks.

The player evaluation day for each sport is Feb. 8, and practices are scheduled to begin Feb. 18.
