PELHAM — Nearly 50 different vendors will come together for the seventh annual Southern Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Pelham Civic Complex.
Whether you’re looking for Christmas decorations, women’s clothing, children’s clothing, books, toys or home décor, you will find them all at this year’s event, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Debra Parrott, event organizer and past president of the Alabaster/Pelham Rotary Club, said the Bazaar helps the club raise money for community projects such as Backpack Buddies, Kings Stables and more.
“It is a way for Shelby County residents to shop local crafters and it benefits the community at the same time,” Parrott said. “We hope to see a large crowd so that we raise a lot of money for the community. (Proceeds) go right back into Shelby County projects.”
The club will also collect canned food items during the event for Manna Ministries of Alabaster. Those who donate a canned food item will receive a $1 discount off of their event admission price.
Tickets are available for $7 per adult and may be purchased at Iberia Bank in Pelham or at the door. Iberia Bank is located at 2695 Pelham Parkway. Those in need of more information may contact Parrott at 205-414-3672.
Santa Claus will also make an appearance at the event for photographs with kids from 1-3 p.m.
“Parents can take their own pictures with Santa and there’s no charge,” Parrott said.
The concession facilities at the Pelham Civic Complex will be fully functional during the time of the Bazaar.
