Jerry Lynn Sanderson, age 70, of Calera, formerly of Mayfield/Lowes, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18 peacefully at home.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Boaz Sanderson; daughters, Lori Ann McClure and Lea Ann Hjetland; grandchildren, David and Kristin Gulledge, Madyson, Molly, Morgan and Micah Hjetland; soon to be great-granddaughter, Elissa Gulledge; dog, Macy and cat, Dickens.

Jerry was a surviving Vietnam War Veteran who was a loving husband, father, grandfather and soon to be great-grandfather.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 20 at 1:15 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery.
