FROM STAFF REPORTS
HOOVER – Jefferson State Community College will host a free Community Health Sciences Career Fair at the Shelby-Hoover Campus on Sept. 10.
This engaging and hands-on event will allow students and the community to explore the health programs offered at Jefferson State.
This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Health Sciences Building at the corner of Valleydale Road and Jaguar Drive. Representatives from all of Jefferson State’s health programs will be present to answer questions and provide information.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn more about the health programs offered at Jefferson State,” Jefferson State Director of Community Relations David Bobo said. “We often have students who don’t realize Jefferson State offers so many in-demand options besides nursing. This event will showcase our programs and help our community discover everything we offer.”
The event will feature these Jefferson State programs: biomedical equipment technology, emergency medical services, non-credit fast-track programs (numerous programs where students can earn credentials in as little as six weeks), nursing, physical therapist assistant, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, and veterinary technology.
Free registration is encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome.
