William “Billy Jack” Hughes, Sr., age 82, of Fourmile, passed away Tuesday, July 9.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 11 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, July 12 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

He was a retiree of Alabama Power and a member of IBEW.

Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Daisy Hughes.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Hughes; daughter, Debbie (Alan) Pack; sons, Billy (Cindy) Hughes and Harold Hughes; five grandchildren, Halie, Bradley, Brooke, Lindsey and Grace; six great- grandchildren, Callie, Chloe, Maddie, Gabe, Will, Payton; brothers, Preston Hughes and Earl (Angie) Hughes; and sister, Patsy (Hylott) Armstrong.
