HELENA – A local Helena business owner was recently given the tough news that she had been diagnosed with cancer, but, the Helena community is stepping up to help her fight the battle by hosting “Kickin’ Butts – A Cancer Benefit BBQ” and tickets are on sale now for the upcoming event.
Lee “Lee Lee” Gaissert, owner of The Petal Cart in Old Town Helena, was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and for the last four years, Gaissert has dedicated her time by working every holiday and even spent the night at her business to make sure her customers were taken care of, whether it be for a prom, wedding, funeral, anniversary or more.
To help Gaissert on her tough journey ahead, the Kickin’ Butts Cancer Benefit BBQ will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 2-6 p.m. at Oversoul Brewing in Old Town Helena featuring delicious barbecue pork, smoked by award winning Brother Beard’s Backyard BBQ.
A general admission ticket of $15 will include a pork sandwich with all the side fixings made from Helena Market Days sourced produce, a choice of dessert and a sweet tea/water. Oversoul Brewing will also have beer and root beer available for purchase as well.
Tickets are available for purchase at The Petal Cart in Helena and online. Digital or paper tickets must be purchased no later than Wednesday, July 17, to ensure enough food will be prepared for the event.
