Lois Jones, age 92, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, May 25, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. – noon Wednesday, May 29 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with Rev. David Warren and Bro. Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Garden of Rest. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Lois was born on April 2, 1927 in Shelby. She spent many years raising her children and grandchildren in this small town. For many years, she was a strong member of Shelby Church of God, serving her Lord and Savior. You could often find Lois enjoying her sweet babies and quilting with her friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Jones; sons, Jerry and Paul Jones; and granddaughter, Bridget Rizzuto.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Jones (Stephanie); daughter, Dianne Bentley (Bobby), sister, Jean Cobb; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
