PELHAM — On April 23, the Gardens of Pelham assisted living facility celebrated its receipt of the “Best of Assisted Living” award from Senioradvisor.com, and “Top Rated Local Business” from Topratedlocal.com.

Facility administrator Mary Neff explained that this was the second year in a row that the facility received the award from Senioradvisor.com, which is based on reviews from “residents, sponsors, secondary providers and even visitors who walked in and toured the facility.”

“A lot of the reason we got these awards is because of y’all,” Neff said. “It’s very special to have so many people working together and making this the community that it is. This community is great not because of me, but because of the staff and it’s residents.”

The ceremony was attended by Mayor Gary Water who echoed Neff’s sentiments about the hard work of the staff, and Police Chief Larry Palmer who said “we just love having the facility in our community. It’s a well-deserved recognition.”

Every year SeniorAdvisor.com recognizes assisted living facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada that score in the top two to three percent of providers.

According to Topratedlocal.com “each business’s rank is based on their rating score which is calculated by aggregating customer ratings/reviews from verified review sites online and the score is calculated using a proprietary algorithm which analyzes the business’s overall rating, number of reviews, and number of verified review sources.”
