PELHAM – Burnette Farms Market is one of four finalists in the Bama’s Best Peach Cobbler contest hosted by the Alabama Farmers Federation.

The finalists are: Burnette Farms Market, Fat Boy’s Bar-B-Que Ranch in Prattville, Clanton’s Peach Park and Ray’s Restaurant in Dothan.

Nominations were taken through the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Facebook page during the beginning of April. A panel of judges will visit the restaurants from April 23-25 to taste their creations. The Bama’s Best Peach Cobbler title, sponsored by the Alabama Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association, will be awarded in early May as peach season ramps up.

Judges include Chilton County farmer and AFVGA President Taylor Boozer Hatchett, SouthernBite.com food blogger and recipe developer Stacey Little and a surprise television personality.

The winner of Bama’s Best Peach Cobbler receives $300, bragging rights, a plaque and will be featured in the June Neighbors magazine.
