Announcing for the first time ever, “Westover Day in the Park.” This community event will be held on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be a DJ for music, free hot dogs, free popcorn, free cotton candy, a bouncy house for the kids and much more.
Westover Mayor Larry Riggins had the idea and put together a committee, headed by Brenda Moorer, to plan this annual event to bring together the folks from Westover and surrounding areas.
A Westover Reunion had been held in the town the past few years. The event was very successful and had a great turnout, but Moorer said a lot of newcomers did not participate, so the idea for Westover Day in the Park was so that everyone in the community would participate.
All are welcome, and we hope this will be a fun day for people to get to know one another.
Vendors are welcome and should go online to WestoverAlabama.org to get their application for a booth and submit it along with a $25 fee before April 24, or call the city clerk at 678-3375 Ext. 1 for more information.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and come on out to the Westover Park for a day of fun!
