Bobby R. Horton, age 84, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, April 10.

The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Shanghi Cemetery in Quinton. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Horton was a Federal Mine Inspector (MSHA) for over 25 years and was a member of the Columbiana United Methodist Church.

Mr. Horton is survived by his wife, Patricia Horton; children, Lauri Harper and Chris Horton; daughter-in-law, Diane Horton; grandchildren, Andrew Harper, Taylor Harper, Daniel Horton, David Horton, Michael Horton, and Anna Horton; and brother, Bill Horton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association and the Alzheimer’s Association.
