INVERNESS — A new aquatic gardens store called AquaScapes is set to open in the Inverness community in April.
The store is part of an acquisition made by DSLD Land Management and will replace an existing store in the Greystone Park business center.
“We are Birmingham’s newest and most comprehensive pond and water garden boutique,” said Paradise Parker, DSLD Aquatics Division manager.
Aquatic gardens are part of a longstanding trend in corporate and personal decor.
At Aquascapes, customers will be able to buy items like “fountains, water gardens and supplies for anything to do with water gardens,” said Hope Brown, DSLD business manager.
Brown also said the store also plans to sell different types of fish, but this will be after the store has been open for some time.
Those looking for more extravagant displays will be able to get outdoor lighting, audio displays and custom pond and garden design, according to Parker.
There is no hard opening date for the location, but Parker said the business plans to open in early April.
AquaScapes will be located at 5485 U.S. 280 in Inverness and will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
