HELENA – Employees of the city of Helena Public Works department were honored at a luncheon given in their honor by the Helena Beautification Board to show appreciation for their tireless efforts in helping maintain the city’s landscape and beautification projects.
Before the luncheon, Helena City Councilman and Board Vice Chairman Brian Puckett thanked the group for the hard work that they do for the city every day.
“Your efforts to maintain the city’s landscape is valued and appreciated,” Puckett said. “The partnership we have allows us to not only create, but to help maintain a beautiful sustainable landscape for all citizens to enjoy. The hours that these men spend mowing, trimming and watering make all the difference in how people perceive the city, whether they are shopping, attending a sporting event or looking for a new home, they see Helena as a beautiful place to live.”
The Helena Beautification Board is an appointed board of the Helena City Council. The board believes that people and places are profoundly connected and thriving communities are rooted in individual responsibility and action. They host a variety of opportunities for the community to come together and serve each year.
