COLUMBIANA – The Automotive Technology SkillsUSA program at the Career Technical Educational Center is holding a Boston butt fundraiser this month.
For the second year, Harvey Deane, owner of Smokin Meat doing business as Deane Development, is cooking Boston butts and ribs for the fundraiser.
“I have a big heart and enjoy helping in this program,” Deane said, adding Auto Technology instructor Robert Irwin has helped him with fundraisers in the past. “There’s just so much he’s done for these kids. I enjoy it, and I know it’s going to a good cause.”
Boston butts are $35 each, and a full rack of spare ribs is $25.
Pickup will be available Friday, March 22, from 3-5 p.m. at the CTEC campus, located at 701 Alabama 70 in Columbiana.
Orders can be placed with any Automotive Technology student or by calling the CTEC front office at (205) 682-6650.
