William Virgil Osburn, age 69, of Jemison, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28.

He was born March 1, 1949 to Clifton Pryor Osburn and Mary Gallops Osburn of Selma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifton D Osburn; and sister, Tena Joy Osburn.

Mr. Osburn was survived by his wife, Mary Osburn; daughter, Angela (Gary) Sherwood; three grandchildren, Victoria Osburn, William A. Osburn, and Brayden Sherwood; one great-grandchild, Lyla Osburn; and numerous nieces and nephews and adopted family members.

He will have a graveside service at Alabama National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:45 a.m. Mr. Osburn will have a visitation Monday, March 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). He will lie in state an hour prior to service time at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).
