Lorene Parker, 89, of Sterrett, passed away Monday, Jan. 7.

She was a 1947 graduate of Vincent High School. She retired from United Chair after 32 years and she was a member of Pleasant Site Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Thomas Parker; son, Michael Wade Parker; and her four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her son, Tommie David Parker; granddaughter, Beth Dunaway (Chris); grandson, Brian Heath Parker (Apryl); four great-grandchildren, Hunter Wallace, Zachary Dunaway, C’Jay Parker, Kynadee Parker; and the Donahoo family, Mike, Vanessa, Lindsay, and Landon.

The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 11 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with a funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
