PELHAM – The Pelham Public Library is gearing up to kick off its most popular among teenagers on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Chess Club, for children and teens in Kindergarten through 12^th grade, starts at 6 p.m. and will meet several times throughout the year. Teen Librarian Liz Winn said Chess Club is the most popular teen program the library has ever had. The club averages 10-20 kids per meeting.

“As a teen librarian, that’s a phenomenal number because we usually don’t get high turnouts in that age group,” Winn said.

Chess Club is a year-round activity. Parents do not need to sign their children up to participate.

The club meets on the following dates at 6 p.m.:
