James “Red” Vanderslice, age 70, of Columbiana, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27.
The visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Loyd officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Jemison. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Mr. Vanderslice owned Vanderslice Wrecker Service for 50 years. He also worked for 19 years and retired from ABC Rail.
Mr. Vanderslice is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, daughter, grandson, and many other family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Vanderslice; children, Angie Pate (Tony), Amanda Falkner (Terry), Timmy Vanderslice, and Candace Vanderslice (Brandon Curry); 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Browning (Harvey) and Jackie Vanderslice; and many friends and family.
