Howard “DD” Eugene Broadhead

Howard “DD” Eugene Broadhead, of Montevallo, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the age of 82.

Howard was a loving family man with great character and undying faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and devout member of Antioch #2 Baptist Church.

Howard will join in Heaven his parents, Richard Givhan and Nellie Kimbrell Broadhead, and his six brothers and sisters for a long awaited family reunion.

Left behind to cherish is memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Peggie McDaniel Broadhead; sons, Mark Broadhead (Bridget) and Daniel Broadhead (Laura); grandkids, Hunter Broadhead, Kelsey Smith, Brody Broadhead, Karli Broadhead, Taylor Chappell, and Lizzy Broadhead; and great grandchildren, Aiden Cox, Payton Thomas, and Ryleigh Cox.

A visitation will be held for Mr. Broadhead at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) on Friday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. The committal service will be held at Alabama National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
