HARPERSVILLE – Old Baker Farm’s Christmas event has been postponed because of the threat of inclement weather.
Christmas on the Farm organizer Leah Harry said forecasts leading up to the event’s scheduled dates, Dec. 8-9, called for at least 80-percent chances of rain both days.
“We talked to a meteorologist, and it’s just not looking good,” Harry said.
The event will instead be held as a one-day event on Friday, Dec. 21, from 5-9 p.m.
Many of the same attractions guests expected from the second Christmas on the Farm will still be available, such as cookies with Santa, a Christmas tree lighting, showing of a classic Christmas movie, and local vendors and food trucks.
The tree lighting will be at about 6 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 and free for children ages 2 and younger.
Old Baker Farm is located at 184 Furrow Lane in Harpersville.
