Vena Pearson Stricklin, age 91, of Shelby, passed away Friday, Nov. 30.

The visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 6 from 10-11 a.m. at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Joel Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Stricklin was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Shelby.

Mrs. Stricklin is preceded in death by her husband, Loyal Ellis Stricklin; parents, Ermon S. and Katie Mae Pearson; and siblings, Eleanor Dorough, Doris Grogan, Alton Pearson, and Boyce Pearson.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Anthony (John), Donna Compton (Eno), Les Stricklin (Carolyn), and Marleen Hering (Greg); 10 grandchildren, John, Joe, Eno, Laura, Rachel, Michael, Robby, Erin, Nicole, and Lucas; four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Johnny, Sloan, and Eno; and sister, Ersa Mae Goodgame.
