Jody Anderson Steele Sr. of Jemison, formerly of West Virginia, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, at the age of 65. He was born February 16, 1953.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 46 years, Lahoma Toler Steele; daughter, Melissa Williams (Greg) son, Jody Steele Jr.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.

He will join in heaven his parents, Levi Horn and Cora Mae Lester Steele; son, Brian Keith Steele; and daughter, Kimberly Lee Williams.

Jody retired from the coalmines after 45 years of devoted labor. In his off time he loved fishing, building furniture, doing woodwork, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a well-loved man who took wonderful care of his family; he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
