MAYLENE – After opening in February of this year, The Restaurant at Fox Valley has officially closed its doors in Maylene.
The restaurant, which took over the former location of the Fox Valley Restaurant known for its famous crab cakes, opened the fine dining establishment choosing to keep the Fox Valley name because of the reputation the former restaurant had built.
The restaurant offered French, classical Italian and Mediterranean food but closed its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 3, after business owners made the announcement in a Facebook post.
“We’d like to thank everyone that supported us during our venture at The Restaurant at Fox Valley,” the post read. “We will always love and appreciate the friends and families we were able to serve. With that being said, we will be closed for business indefinitely as of today.”
Although The Restaurant at Fox Valley will no longer be in business, the owners hinted that a new restaurant will be coming to the location in the near future.
“New owners and a new concept will be opening up a new restaurant very near in the future,” the Facebook post read. “We know that you will be very excited to see what they are bringing to the neighborhood. Please come out and support their new venture and support local small businesses. Farewell, and thanks to those that tried to help us make it work.”
