Rebecca Gale Talton Pitts
Alabaster
Rebecca Gale Talton Pitts, age 46, of Alabaster, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, Sept. 29.
The visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 1-2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Columbiana. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., at the church with Rev. Ricky Ruston officiating. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.
Rebecca was born on March 24, 1972. She grew up in Shelby County, spending her childhood in Wilsonville before moving to Columbiana as a teenager. After graduating from Shelby County High School, she attended Central Alabama Community College where she received a degree in nursing. Rebecca worked as a Registered Nurse in several different hospital systems throughout her career. She was a gifted care provider, who was always focused on ensuring the best outcomes for her patients.
Anyone who knew Rebecca recognized that in addition to her strong love for people she had an amazing love of animals. Individuals in her care – human or animal – were blessed by her humor and warmth. Rebecca married the love of her life and best friend, Randall, in 2016. They were an ideal match who shared a love for family, friends, and living life to its fullest. They enjoyed travel with a favorite destination being Cape San Blas where they honeymooned and spent their anniversary trips.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Dr. Randall Pitts; stepson, Randall Pitts, Jr. (Paige), step grandson, McLean; parents, Thomas and Betty Talton; brother, Gregg Talton (Susan), nephew, Jack; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Rebecca’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Woundedwarriorproject.org/.
