Ida Mae Horton, age 101, of Marvel, joined her husband, W. F. Horton, in Eternal Glory on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, gardening, cooking and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, W. F. Horton; one sister; and two brothers.

Left to treasure her memory are her son, Leo K. Horton (Christine); grandchildren, Kathy Hall, Kenneth Horton (Judy) and Rickey Horton (Lisa); five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Parsons.

Her funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). The family will receive guests immediately following at the Forbes House at 820 Vine Street, Montevallo. She will be laid to rest at Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge.
