PELHAM – Parents now have another option for after school care for their children. Pump It Up Pelham is offering after school care for students at Pelham Oaks and Pelham Ridge elementary schools.

Although this is service is new to the Pelham location, Pump It Up has been offering after school care at its Trussville location for over 7 years. A school bus is used to pick up students at the schools and bring them back to Pump It Up, which is located beside Walmart.

The program runs from 3:30-6 p.m. Kids play for the first 30 minutes, and then it’s snack time. Once the kids finish their snack, they have the option to do homework or resume playing. Kids in the program will not interact with the general public.

The program costs $60 for one child and $55 for each additional child. The registration fee is $45. Call Pump It Up to be emailed the application or stop by to pick up a packet.

“We would love to have your kids come spend their afternoon with us burning off some of that bottled up energy,” Pump It Up owner Heather Holmes said.

Children will occupy a classroom space available upstairs, away from the general public. Designated employees to supervise the group. For more information, contact Pump It Up Pelham at 900-8123.
