HELENA – A new hair studio specializing in women’s hair and color is now open in the Old Town Helena area.

Ryot Hair Studio, which opened at the end of August, is ready to serve clients in Helena and surrounding areas led by head stylist Kasie Carden.

Carden has been a hair stylist since 2007 and was at Seventh Heaven Hair Salon in Columbiana where she built a large client base prior to opening a studio in Helena.

“It all starts there at Seventh Heaven and that’s how I ended up building my business and I give all of them the credit,” Carden said. “Without them I definitely wouldn’t be here.”

As for the name Ryot Hair Studio, Carden said she chose the name because she believes everyone should feel comfortable in branching out and not following the norm.

“When you think about Ryot it means to not be like everyone else,” Carden said. “It’s kind of my thing because everyone feels like they have to stay in a box and they don’t feel like they can be different so that’s why I named it Ryot Hair Studio.”

Ryot Hair Studio price ranges for hair color goes from $85 and up and haircuts are included with the chemical services.

Carden said her favorite part of being a hair stylist is having the ability to use her talents as art.

“I like being able to put my art on somebody and they can walk around with it,” Carden said. “I think that’s pretty cool, and I’m really good at talking people into doing different things and not being basic.”
