Lester V. Elliott, age 74, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29.

The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 2 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife, Patsy Elliott; son, James Elliott (Melanie); grandson, Tyler Elliott; granddaughter, Brindley Elliott; brother, Richard Elliott (Robbie); brothers-in-law, Wayne Davis and Jim Davis (Brenda); four nephews; one niece; and his beloved cat, Smokey.
