HELENA–Just a couple days is all that remains before the start of another Helena High School varsity football season and before the Huskies kick off the season on the road at McAdory, parents and fans got a glimpse of the team and more at the annual Husky Day event.

Husky Day was Saturday, Aug. 18, at Helena High School as the event featured scrimmages from the Helena Middle School teams, the HHS freshmen team, the HHS varsity team, cheerleading routines, fall sports team recognitions and more.

Entry to Husky Day was $5 and children that attended the event wearing a uniform received free admission.

During the series of scrimmages, the Helena High School Marching Band also kept fans entertained in the stands with a variety of tunes such as “Georgia on My Mind,” “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” and “My Home’s in Alabama.”

In addition to the action on the field, those in attendance enjoyed bouncy houses, concession stand items and more.
