Evan Thomas Mumpower

Evan Thomas Mumpower, age 24, of Hoover, passed away on Saturday morning, Aug. 11. He was born on May 15, 1994, and raised in Columbiana.

Evan will be remembered forever as a loving son, brother, and grandson, as well as a highly intelligent, uniquely creative, and fun-loving friend and individual.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Barbara Mumpower, and his maternal grandparents, Frelian Dunn and Violet Dunn.

Survivors include Evan’s parents, William Mumpower and Lori Dunn Mumpower; one sister, Leah Mumpower; paternal grandfather, Buddy Mumpower; and extended family.

Evan was employed as a robot programmer for PA Solutions in Bessemer. A homeschool graduate of SMIC Academy, he earned his bachelor degree in mechanical engineering at University of Alabama, Huntsville in 2016.

Evan attended Christ United Methodist Church in Birmingham.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, immediately followed by a celebration of Evan’s life at 3 p.m. at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. After the service, the family will host a time of fellowship at the funeral home in Pelham on Sunday.
