James Edward Howell of Alabaster, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 11. He was born on June 7, 1948.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Kevin, and grandson, Blake.

James was a graduate of Thompson High School and a veteran of the Vietnam War. After discharge, he was employed by Bell South until retirement.

James loved Alabama football and fast cars. With his sense of humor he was always the one with the stories.

He will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery where he will be greatly missed by those of us who loved him.
