Gayla Frances Wyatt Jones, 71, of Shelby passed away Tuesday, July 31, at her residence.

She was born on Saturday, Nov. 9,1946 in Alabama, daughter of the late Curtis D. Wyatt and the late Jewell Cost Wyatt.

She was a retired clerk for the Columbiana Water Board.

Surviving are her husband, Billy C. Jones; three sons, Jeffery A. (Melinda) Jones, Kent (Kellie) Jones, Charles N. (Tonya) Jones; eight grandchildren, Justin Jones, Kerri (Deborah) Jones, Kassadie (Justin) Harris, Kasey Jones, Ashlyn Jones, Chad Jones, Corey Welcher, and Johnathan Dickinson; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Will (Linda) Wyatt, Joe (Margaret) Wyatt, Randall (Doris) Wyatt, and Danny (Lyn) Wyatt; sister, Sherry (Jim) Willums; brother-in-law, Max Scott; and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Jewell Wyatt; sister, Helen Scott; and great-grandson, Jacob Jones.

Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Will Wyatt and Rev. Joe Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton.
