CALERA – A Columbiana woman was arrested in Calera after entering the loading docks of a business, armed with a handgun.

The incident happened on Tuesday, July 10, about 1:45 p.m. at Alabama Furniture Market on Commercial Park Drive. Police said a woman armed with a pistol, went onto the loading dock and starting shouting someone’s name.

The employees secured showroom and called 911. Officers arrived on scene and took the female into custody without incident.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. The woman was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment, which are all misdemeanor charges.
